Dr. Jessica Taub was born in Cleveland, Ohio. She completed her medical education at Kent State University, earning academic honors. Dr. Taub then completed one year of vigorous training in Jacksonville, Florida at St. Vincent’s Medical Center where she had a strong focus on wound care and hospital care. Following this, Dr. Taub completed two more years of training at the Atlanta VA Medical Center, earning additional credentials in foot surgery and reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery. During her time in Atlanta, Dr. Taub trained under Emory physicians and spent additional time rotating in: dermatology, plastic surgery, vascular surgery, radiology, general surgery, physical therapy, pathology and internal medicine. In addition, during her training, Dr. Taub was accepted to complete a fellowship course in dermatopathology. Dr. Taub is passionate about dermatology of the lower extremities. She also has an interest in limb salvage and wound care, as she participated in the Preservation Amputation for Veterans Everywhere (PAVE) directive during her time at the Veterans Hospital, with training in autogenous skin grafting and surgical wound care to provide the best outcomes possible in difficult to treat wounds.

Dr. Taub has also attended many national conferences and training courses and is a lifelong learner. Dr. Taub is dedicated to advancing the field of podiatric medicine and surgery and staying up to date on the advancements in medicine. She has served as a peer reviewer for the Journal of the American Podiatric Medical Association. She also had her research accepted for presentation at national conferences. In addition, Dr. Taub has served on the legislative board of the American Podiatric Medical Association, working to strengthen the diabetic program.

It is important to Dr. Taub to focus on her patients as a whole, exhausting all conservative options before moving onto surgical treatments. If surgical treatment is necessary, Dr. Taub will be with you each step of the way, focusing on each patient’s individual needs, to reach their treatment goals and providing the best surgical care possible.

When she’s not spending time with her patients, you can find Dr. Taub enjoying time with her husband, Matt and their son, Ryker. She enjoys exploring South Florida’s beaches, exercising and reading. Dr. Taub is currently accepting new patients and looks forward to treating you and being a part of the community!
